My new eating plan...eating like our ancestors???
I’ve been having stomach issues lately, and just feeling generally ‘low-energy’. A friend turned me on to a book they recently read about a new ‘eating plan’ that consists of going back to the way humans used to eat. Not sure if many people are aware of this building revolution in the way we think about fats, meats, and carbs. I read the book and it blew-my-mind. The writer, Dr....

The walk-about is over. Poop.
(more chins?)
We arrived back last night from a solid trip to the desert. I’m tired. over 5000km of driving. But, it was worth it. Spectacular views, some critters, riding and pool-side. Video to come…
Go-ride.
ps- Pretty pumped for summer, but I have an urge to climb to some snow and ride a kicker…
Notes from the Desert
AM is for hiking, swimming and long boarding
Mid-day is for sleeping and beer
PM is for mountain biking in the cool air

Notes from the desert
A - The term ‘Epic’ is used far too much, but, my road trip down to Arizona was just that. The last day included Zion National Park, the vermillion cliffs, the painted desert, and oh ya, the grand canyon. Mind blowing. These landscapes cannot be adequately described in words or picture. Seriously, you just have to see for yourself.
B - the place we’re staying has awesome mtb...

MTB Season Starts Early?
…actually I’m not sure it ever ended this year. Nothing like a ride home from work that lands you head first into a 8-foot deep erosion gully. How did my legs take all the damage?
Go-Ride.
Castle Last Weekend...blue birds and raccoon tans
Last Friday at Castle was epic…no. It was gnarly…no. No, it was basically what snowboarding is all about - good friends hitting the hill hard from first chair to last chair on a blue-bird day. Pure carnage. I got sunburned. Nuff-said.
Go-Ride.

Man and Board Down...
Tired, but see the ’short’ from today’s trip to Castle below. It was a huge powder day. First day back for me in a while - still fighting some weird sinus infection.
Good news - I was pointing it. Some places the video almost looks sped-up.
Bad news - I blew an edge on my 3-month old Burton Supermodel. I hit a rock that was buried in the pow. Thankfully when I wrecked there...

Nice to be back...
I’ve been out of the game for a few weeks with a wicked flu. Fianlly got back to Castle mountain yesterday. Great day. Perfect subzero temps and the groomers were riding really nice - which is good becauseI wanted to hammer some freestyle. There was no-one at the hill.
Check out Davey Cakes in the vid - carving turns and weav;n through the the trees. Hard to believe Davey just started...

Funny Thought...
Weekend at Burnies: A pair of losers try to pretend that their murdered employer is really alive, but the murderer is out to “finish him off.”
Weekend at Burnies 2: Larry and Richard use a voodoo revived corpse to track down hidden money to clear their names.
Weekend at Bernies 3: Why not? How about a compelling prequel where Larry and Richard have to pretend their nerdy roommate...
This guy sucks at biking. No really he has trouble keeping his wheels on the ground and is always spinning around.
Go-Ride.
PS - snowfall warning at the Big F. I’m going sinus infection or not.
Pps - my wife just informed me that my comments above could be misconstrued as hurtful. Watch the vid - this guy rips.
Don't forget about mountain biking!
New Years Day 2012
I’m blessed to live in a place where I can go snowboarding in the morning and come home to a nice mountain bike ride in the afternoon…in the middle of January. We get the big winds, but that also dries out the single-track in town and resets the snow on my favorite runs in the mountains. My MTB season last summer was, well, weak. I didn’t ride nearly enough,...
Wax'n, Max'n and Relax'n
No, this is not Santa’s workshop, it’s the Go-Ride. war-room (my basement)…
My Burton Supermodel after a mere 3-days of charging…
And after a nice wax’n…well I could tell.
‘Mad Props’ again to E-Mack for dropping the knowledge like so much melted wax…
…Castle Mountain this Friday. Dope.
Go-Ride.
E-Mack is the Man
‘Mad Props’ for E-mack. He’s the man behind the go-pro lately – taking the footE, but seldom in it. E-Mack I wear the camera next time…we can’t allow you to get all the on-camera pee shots…
He Dead? Charles Napier
Best Scene: What do you say about a guy who played a semi-pivotal role in Rambo Part 2? And, in the same year was in Murder She Wrote? They say Landsberry handpicked him for the role. No, all these roles are titillating, but I definitely have to say my first and best memory of Charles is as ‘Adam’ the space-hippy in the Star Trek original series. This episode sucked in a particularly good way....

My World Snowboarding Day was awesome how was...
Here’s why mine was so ‘dank’, ranked in a ridiculous vernacular:
Number one, I was riding a snowboard in the great out-of-doors. So, ya.
Second of all, I was riding with good company – Davy of the Cakes. DC is a Go-Ride. core-crewer that’s just starting his career as a snowboard enthusiast with our team. He’s carving turns like a mad-man and has hit the slopes more than me this season. He’s...
'Tis the Season...
Ah the memories. The anticipation. The day is approaching. Only once a year and soo much merry-making. The children waking before the dawn. Rushing down stairs adorned in their special clothes for the occasion. Did he come? Is it here? Wake up mom and Dad!!!
Of course I’m not talking about a fat guy in near-drag packing himself down a chimney (or these days a 4” air vent). Nor am I referring to...
He Dead? Anthony James
Best Scene: I can’t recall a particular scene that really screams-out. It’s more the breadth of non-descript work. My fondest memories of Anthony is as the pock-faced henchmen in the Blue Thunder feature film circa 1983. And, of course, Sub-camader Thei from STNG. Anthony’s been in everything. His early career is a cornucopia of TV detritus – A-Team, V, Riptide – the list continuing into...

Here’s a new winter series I’ve entitled – He Dead? It’s a focus on character actors throughout the years, but with specific attention to my memories, interests and paradigms. Now, I know that these types of explorations already have flourishing content on the interet-webz, so mine will be short and sweet.
Here’s what you get: 1.) a name; 2.) a picture of what I best recall this actor looking...
